ABILITIES LIST FOR REFERENCE

Black*Star Only

Planet Destruction Cannon (Wakusei Hakaihō)

 -an upgraded version of Soul Menace/Sou lAuthority (Kon'i)

Certain Kill: Black*Star Big Wave (Hissatsu:Koku☆sei Biggu Wēbu)

 -initially starts with an elbow strike to stun the enemy, then a powerful punch which sends a large amount of soul energy through the opponent’s body.  First used against Mifune.

 

Weapons Forms

Chain Scythe (Kusarigama)

-literally means ‘chain sickle.’Offers Black*Star the most versatile use of moves for both attack and defense.  Other forms are used when aparticular situation calls for them.

             Shield*Star

-By using Soul Resonance with Tsubaki, Black*Star creates a shield in the shape ofa gold star for defense

Trap*Star

-By placing the chain of the kusarigama in the shape of a star on the ground,anything that enters the area will be instantly sensed by Black*Star and bound in the chains before they can escape. Tsubaki’s ability to hear souls extend sto the area below the star as well.  The technique does not discriminate between friend and foe.

Dummy Star(Damī Sutā)

-This form makes Tsubaki look exactly like Black*Star.  This is the only form that Black*Star does not declare outright beforehand. Another form is generally declared to cover the switch, and is almost always a distraction so that Black*Star can catch the enemy of guard to hit them with a powerful move.

Ninja Sword (Ninjatō)

-This form has the benefit of considerably increasing Black*Star’s speed.

             Speed*Star

-By using Soul Resonance with Tsubaki, Black*Star is able to move at extremely high speeds, to the point where he cannot be seen. Must be performed on a surface with very good grip, or tripping is likely.

Shuriken

-A large 5 point star.  Yeah, that’s about it.  Rarely used as it contradicts Black*Star's typical in-your-face attack style.

Smoke Bomb (Kemuridama)

-Only used for short periods of timefor concealment or escape purposes. Tsubaki can either turn into a bomb which can be throws, or simply explode into a cloud of smoke instantly. Can also be used to switch to Dummy Star mode.

Fey Blade(Yōtō)

-a demon blade with the appearance of a katana. Overuse can result in the devouring of the user’s soul, and is especially draining on the heart, as well as the rest of the body.

            Shadow*Star (Kage☆Boshi)

- Using Soul Resonance while Tsubaki is in the required mode, she is then able to possess Black*Star’s shadow in order to attack the enemy with it.  Can crush the opponent as well as slice them open or apart.  The use of this form,however, has the side effect of slowly killing Black*Star.  However, after confronting the spirit that resides with the blade inside of Tsubaki, the two of them were able to unlockits true resonance.  The use of Shadow*Star grants the pair numerous other abilities, depending upon the form used at the time of resonance.

 

Shadow*Star Abilities

Shadow*Star:Gathering Cutter (Kage☆Boshi: Yosegiri)

-A more powerful version of Shadow*Star.  While using Soul Resonance in Fey Blade form, the pair can manipulate any shadows cast by Black*Star to restrain the target.  Tsubaki then pulls the enemy toward her partner, who then makes a large slash through the trapped enemy. 

Shadow*Star:First Form – Chain of Blackness (Kage☆Boshi: Ichi no Kata "Rengoku")

-While using Shadow*Star, Black*Star turns the sword into a sickle-like blade with a long black chain attached to the hilt. This allows the weapon to function normally, as well as swung like a whip.  Black*Star gains greater speed and strength, and benefits from a much larger attack range.

Shadow*Star:Second Form – Leaf of the Moonless Night (Kage☆Boshi: Ni no Kata "Tsukiyoha")

-Direct progression of Tsubaki’s Shuiken form.  By inserting his hand into the center circleof the star, Black*Star is able to release an incredibly powerful blast of energy.  This causes an extension on the outward blades, as well emitting a significant concussive force forwards.  While in effect, the shuriken will continually spin around the same spot on Black*Star’s arm, and can effectively be used both for attack and defense.

Shadow*Star:Third Form – Severed Shadow (Kage☆Boshi: San no Kata "Zetsuei")

-The sword transmutes into a large kunai. Black*Star moves with the speed of shadow, creating clone-like afterimages.  These images contain mass, allowing Black*Starto pull off numerous blows to his opponent. They also provide limited resistance to attacks, giving the impression that he was actually hit.  However, these afterimages cannot be controlled and, thus, can be used to determine Black*Star’s attack pattern.  However, this leads into the next ability…

Shadow*Star:Fourth Form – Branched Darkness (Kage☆Boshi: Yon no Kata "Edayami")

-Tsubaki takes control of one of Black*Star’s afterimages created by Severed Shadow.  This allows for a far more convincing and effective illusion than it’s predecessor, Dummy Star.

Shadow*Star:Zeroth Form – Masamune (Kage☆Boshi: Zero no Kata "Masamune")

-Converts Tsubaki’s form to the original form of her brother’s katana while shadows wrap about Black*Star like a scarf.  Black*Star can manipulate his soul resonance rate to make the sword lighter. The scarf can solidify as will, and is capable of cutting the opponent or acting like an extra limb.

Black*Star: Zeroth Form “Masamune” Initiation Technique – Infinity (Kuroboshi ☆ Zero no Kata "Masamune" Denjuwaza – Mugen)

-Through the refined manipulation of the black scarf, and the enhanced control caused by Madness, Black*Star generates a large number of hardened swords composed of the same shadow substance.  These swords pierce most materials with relative ease. After impalement, the swords simultaneously slice outward, devastating the victim’s body by cutting it into multiple distinct pieces.  These swords then hover around Black*Star’s form instead of disappearing, and can likely be used again.
